OSMO Vitalis Bros & Co was founded in 1983 and its headquarters are located in Piraeus. Its foundation came as a natural result of its members’ acquired technical knowledge in the field of study and manufacture of public and private projects which used to be undertaken and conducted by them as independent hypercontractors.
The aim of OSMO’s foundation was:
- The study and manufacture of technical projects related to water processing (filtration, desalination, disinfection). These methods are necessary for primary water sterilization and can be applied to:
- Industries/ Hotels
- Hospitals
- Swimming pools for public and private use
- The trading of products related to our company’s manufacturing activities,
such as:
- Chemical analysis instruments
- Batching systems
- Water filter cartridges
- UV systems
- Ozonation systems
OSMO is dealing with the construction of projects specializing in any filed of the public and private sector, not only in Greece but also abroad.
The main sectors of the company’s activity are:
- Desalination units for sea and brackish water
- Water filtration and softening units
- Water processing units for hospital use
- Processing units for special types of wastes (radioactive, aids, etc.)
- Swimming pools (for public and private use)
In an attempt to expand its main fields of activity, OSMO has invested in the construction of containers which include devices that if supplied with brackish water they produce water of very high standards.
Our company has permanent in-house staff consisting of 42 employees who expertise in various fields, apart from the company’s members, and attend yearly training courses depending on their speciality.
In order to accomplish specialized study needs, OSMO cooperates with study and research offices specializing in various fields. Moreover, meeting the special needs arising at worksites, OSMO cooperates with resident hypercontractors specializing in various flelds.
OSMO boasts modern show rooms, production areas and warehouses at Piraeus and Aspropirgos, Athens.
OSMO being an Original Equipment Manufacturer in the Greek territory since its foundation cooperates with main manufactures of raw materials, such as:
- Dow Chemical (USA) / Water Processing
- Astral (Spain) / Swimming Pools
- Siata-Pentair / Automation Systems
- EMEC(Italy) / Measurement and test instruments
For the accomplishment of each project preliminary study and design is required. OSMO’s engineers consider all the basic data that the production company supplies and after being elaborated they are applied to the particular project.
Quality
Since April 2000 OSMO has applied a quality indemnity system and complies with the form ISO 9001, and since 2007 has been complying with the CE 0653 quality indemnity system for medical-technical products.
OSMO’s quality policy is to study, design and manufacture water processing products complying with the modern standards relating to raw materials, fermentations and quality systems.
In order to be able to ensure constant compliance with the general quality policy followed, has set as an aim to satisfy the demands and follow the regulations concerning the quality of water, and the technical specifications concerning our facilities and the methods of transferring our products to the end-user location.
In parallel to that, our company’s objective has been to manufacture excellent quality products from the very beginning of the production process at the lowest cost possible and we have been trying to improve not only the product quality but also the quality of the raw materials and adopt methods of the latest technology.
When it comes to quality, apart from the basic specifications concerning high quality and state-of the-art products, OSMO includes not only the demand for safe production but also compliance to the legal statute and other recognized regulations of various public bodies.
The vision of OSMO’ s the leading members is its establishment in the international water processing industry as a company which par excellance adopts and applies all the quality elements mentioned above seeking for viability and perfection.
